A short loop: Plac Zdrojowy, the beach and pier
If you only have a little time before breakfast or dinner, stay close by. From SeaSide at Plac Zdrojowy 3, the beach is about 40 m away and the pier about 100 m away. Walk by the water, pause near the lighthouse and look at the distinctive building featured in our aerial photos.
You do not need to complete a long route every time you go out. If you plan to enter the pier, check current access rules and tickets with its operator. A short walk leaves room for another outing later in the day.
South: towards the fishing harbour
From the pier area, walk south along the coast towards Jelitkowo. Look for Sopot’s fishing harbour and the boats beside the beach. Choose this direction if everyday coastal scenes and the town’s fishing history appeal more than a busy shopping street.
The VisitSopot town guide describes the harbour and other local places. Adapt the distance to the weather and your own pace. On the return leg, you can take the promenade instead of the sand.
North: a walk with more greenery
Another option heads towards Park Północny. Choose it to combine the coast with green surroundings and park paths. You do not have to plan a walk all the way to Orłowo. Decide where you will turn around and save longer stretches for a day with suitable weather and more time.
If you want to explore Sopot’s woodland trails, check the specific route on an up-to-date map. Treat the forest as a separate outing: wear suitable shoes and do not expect every path to be as even as the promenade.
Into town: Monte Cassino and the side streets
From Plac Zdrojowy, follow Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street towards the station. Then turn into a side street and take a slower look at the town. This works for an afternoon you want to combine with coffee, dinner or an exhibition you have chosen to visit.
With each option, SeaSide is close to the start of the walk. Come back, rest and go out again if you feel like it. Our photo gallery shows the area from different angles, while the weekend guide puts some of these walks into a two-day stay.
